Happy Friday! For those who are still on half term – urgh to you. For those of you who are back at school – we feel your pain. We really do. But on the bright side, here’s a round up of everything we’ve been reading, watching and loving this week.
Can we offer you some lippy…for your vagina?
Yep, you heard us right. Good ol’ vag lippy is now a thing thanks to Dr. Daniel Dopps (which, let’s be real, sounds suspiciously like a made up name). In his now viral Facebook post, Dr Dopps explained his idea for how to replace tampons: Mensez. Sigh. According to the post, Mensez is a product that is applied to “the lips downunder” (just say labia dude, you’re meant to be a doctor) during a period. It “causes them to stick together, strong enough to prevent leakage, until the user urinates.” At which point, the woman’s wee is meant to dissolve the glue and you can reapply. Anyone else spotted the slight snag? Dr Dopps seems to have got his basic anatomy confused – your wee comes out of the urethra and your period comes out of your vagina. It’s a hole different thing.
If ever there was a time for this GIF, it is now. #mensez

We heart Instagram’s new update
Look Instagram, we still haven’t forgiven you for getting rid of the chronological timeline, *but* you’ve just got one step closer to earning our trust back. Yesterday, Instagram released a feature where you can share multiple photos and videos in one post. So now you don’t have to spend half an hour deciding which of the 17 selfies you took looks best, you can just upload them all!
Surprise! 🎉 Swipe left on the post above to see more. Starting today, you can share up to 10 photos and videos in one post on Instagram. With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember. When uploading to your feed, you’ll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. It’s easy to control exactly how your post will look. You can tap and hold to change the order, apply a filter to everything at once or edit one by one. These posts have a single caption and are square-only for now. On a profile grid, you’ll notice the first photo or video of a post has a little icon, which means there’s more to see. And in feed, you’ll see blue dots at the bottom of these posts to let you know you can swipe to see more. You can like and comment on them just like a regular post. This update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play. To learn more, check out help.instagram.com.
Katy Perry brought the house down
True to form, London traffic nearly cocked up the Brits before it even started meaning celebrities were running around London trying to find alternative routes. Bastille hopped on the tube, while Charlie XCX grabbed a cable car. Little Mix won the best single, Chris Martin attempted to crowd surf, but the crowd were too busy filming to, you know, catch him. But it was Katy Perry’s performance that really got people talking. There were skeletal mannequins of Theresa May and Donald Trump and her backup dancers were dressed as white houses…until one literally fell off the stage.

Maisie Williams & Sophie Turner are #goals
One of our fave celebrity double act, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner were being adorable on Twitter this week. While the pair’s characters in Games of Thrones have an… er, complicated relationship, IRL they obviously adore each other. To celebrate Sophie’s 21st Birthday, Maisie sent out this adorable tweet. Ned Stark would be so proud.

Out of this world
In the latest WTF news, scientists have discovered seven Earth-sized planets that could potentially sustain life not that far away. Well, ok, they’re not exactly close, they’re actually about 40 light-years (or 235 trillion miles) away from Earth, but apparently in space terms, that’s like nipping to your local corner shop. So standby, for all we know, next week they’ll have discovered where ET came from.
Move over Bey, Aurora beat you t(w)o it
We thought Beyoncé was a trend setter with this whole twins business, but it turns out Aurora was way ahead of the curve. Aurora is the resident polar bear at Columbus Zoo and she had twins polar cubs in November. Columbus Zoo have finally released the first official photos of the bubbas, and we can confirm they’re really bloody adorable. Look at their tiny faces. LOOK. If you’re an *ahem* polar bear enthusiast, may we also suggest this video of this little fella trying to stay awake?
